I'm in the process of preparing for Aniyah Parker's coming of age. My goal is to take something that is often regarded as unclean, impure, taboo, to reclaim it as pure and sacred.  After all our first moon (menses) is connected to life itself, it should be honored and celebrated.

You are invited to be a part of her initiation into womanhood. To make it easier for everyone, I thought homemade gifts would work best. There is something special about gifts created by hands and given from the heart.

Note: Aniyah first moon, hasn't yet arrived. I wanted to have her gifts on the ready for when that magical day arrives.

Lastly, I plan to have a ceremony on the weekend of her first moon. I'd like her to be surrounded by a circle of women. We will cross that bridge when we get to it.
